MegaFemme VS MegaMasc

Olja Lopushansky’s one-woman performance

Women’s Talks transcends the framework of Dušan Radović’s classic light comedy, offering a layered and thoughtful interpretation that successfully combines wit and depth. The performance has captivated audiences with its modern, humorous approach, while critics have praised its relevance, originality, and multi-dimensionality (acting – dance – movement – mime).

The entire play is delivered through a single character.
Olja Lopushansky, in a tragicomic manner and through the use of parody, brings to life Flora – a psychologist, contemporary influencer, and expert in marital relationships.

Observing the male world from a female perspective, Flora analyzes everyday life and the stereotypes of male-female relations with both humor and bitterness, infused with contemporary “trash trends” from social media.

While she skillfully exposes the absurdities of these relationships, Flora—despite her knowledge and expertise—becomes a victim of the very dynamics she critiques.

This contemporary reading of Radović’s classic confirms its timeless relevance, offering the audience both introspection into our not-so-brave society and a critical lens on the dynamics of modern interpersonal relations.

Although a monodrama, Women’s Talks creates the impression of an ensemble play.

Through innovative use of mime and physical theatre, Lopušanski embodies 11 different male characters: the “nine types of men,” a lover, and a husband—voiced by special guest actor Tihomir Stanić (recording- SRB), or Michael Kamp (NL version). This unique approach results in a dynamic, visually rich, and emotionally layered stage, allowing the audience to experience the presence of multiple characters while encountering the monodrama form in a completely new way.

Two Versions, One Global Journey
The play exists in two language versions:

  • English–Dutch version, created for international festivals and multicultural audiences.

  • Serbian–Croatian–Bosnian version, performed across the Balkans and other regional contexts.

This dual format makes MegaFemme VS MegaMasc adaptable for different occasions, audiences, and festivals worldwide.

Premiered on April 14, 2024, at the Madlenianum Theatre, Belgrade, the production has since toured internationally, with notable performances such as at Vondelkerk, Amsterdam (organized by Promaja Events).

It received the Jacques Lacarrière Award at the International Theater Festival Actor of Europe 2024.
